Surveying the developing collaboration between researchers in cardiovascular disease and the disciplines of cell and molecular biology, this volume brings together international work currently being carried out. Emphasis is placed on the cellular level with concentration on the endothelial cell, the smooth muscle cell and the blood and its particulate contents. The topics covered include neointimal hyperplasia, immune aspects of atherosclerosis, molecular and cellular biology of the endothelium, newly recognized vasoregulatory substances, co-culture systems, the intracoronary stent and endothelialization of vascular grafts.
