The contributors to this book focus on selected topical issues of interest to a wide range of professionals in the areas of nutrition and health. One chapter assesses the cariogenicity of Sorbitol - a commonly used sweetener in special dietetic products for diabetics and in sugar-free confectionery and medicine. A further article investigates the claim that moderate alcohol use reduces the risk of coronary heart disease.
