Following an introduction to British attitudes toward foreign-language films generally and UK distribution-promotion-exhibition patterns, Lembach (German, Hong Kong Polytechnic U.) analyzes public and critical responses to several waves of German cinema reflecting British national identity, perceptions of Teutonic style, and interest in postwar German affairs.
