Real time and embedded computing systems and applications

This volume features 37 papers from the 9th International Conference on Real-Time and Embedded Computing Systems and Applications (RTCSA 2003), held at the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. The conference brought together over 100 participants from academia and industry to discuss advancements in real-time systems, embedded systems, and ubiquitous computing. The submissions covered various aspects of real-time computing and embedded technologies, including 28 regular papers and 9 short papers. These are categorized into scheduling, networking and communication, embedded systems, pervasive computing, systems and architectures, resource management, file systems and databases, performance analysis, and tools and development, aligning with the conference program. Some papers have been revised based on feedback received during the conference. It is hoped that researchers and developers will find these contributions beneficial. Special thanks are extended to the authors for their work, as well as to the program committee members and reviewers for their evaluations, and to the organizing committees for their support and guidance.
