British POWs of WWII have been extensively interviewed for this dramatic account of life in German captivity. While prisoners' primary goal was to stay alive in these camps, there were several escape attempts. The great escape, the escape from Colditz, and lesser known operations are all covered here. In departure from most POW books, German guards were also extensively interviewed.
