This collection explores advancements in 3D surface matching, sensor modeling, and automated image processing techniques. It discusses a new algorithm for 3D surface matching and presents an advanced sensor model tailored for panoramic cameras. The performance of the A TOMI system in automated road extraction and updating is compared using various orthoimagery sources, including aerial film and satellite imagery from ADS40, Ikonos, and Quickbird. The potential of Ikonos and Quickbird imagery for accurate 3D point positioning, orthoimage, and DSM generation is also examined. The work includes 3D modeling and visualization of significant cultural heritage sites, alongside image analysis for historical cartography. Surface discontinuity modeling through patch adaptation and edge utilization is addressed, along with experiences in automatic image matching for DSM generation with ADS40 data. The orientation of satellite and airborne imagery using multi-line pushbroom sensors is discussed, as well as automated DSM generation from SPOT-5/HRS stereo images.
