During his long activity as a curator and publicist Gerald Matt, the director of Kunsthalle Vienna, made the acquaintance of numerous international artists. In these conversations Matt reveals a considerable ability of asking questions, clearly proving that artists are well able to make significant statements about their work if given the opportunity. Hidden behind the title are 40 interviews with significant contemporaries such as: Matthew Barney, Vanessa Beecroft, Candice Breitz, Steve McQueen, Shirin Neshat, Raymond Pettibon, Santiago Sierra, Francesco Vezzoli, Yang Fudong et al.
