SOMETHING TO PUT SOMETHING ON is a standout in Lawrence Weiner’s collection of artist’s books, showcasing a playful and witty reflection of his creative journey from childhood to the present. Originally developed with the artist two decades ago, the first edition was published in 2008. This new edition emphasizes aesthetic refinement, aiming to capture the vibrancy and clarity of Weiner’s work while ensuring longevity through high-quality archival materials. A key feature is the extraordinary Zerkall Book Wove170g paper, which enhances the clarity of Weiner’s unique letter forms and is complemented by revised typography. The expressive inking method diverges from standard practices, allowing the inks—Weiner’s signature blue 299 and red 032—to showcase their distinct characteristics.
