This interdisciplinary volume explores the intricate relationship between Jewish and non-Jewish spaces, highlighting how they influence and shape each other. A diverse collection of articles by experienced researchers and junior scholars examines various urban contexts and discourses to investigate how these spaces are imagined, constructed, negotiated, and intertwined. The contributors draw from different temporal and regional research traditions, presenting a mosaic of case studies that range from synagogues and ghettos to urban neighborhoods, cafés, festivals, art, and literature.
