An architecture that genuinely confronts the place where it stands, where it takes effect - as Uwe Schröder?s collages seem to imply, albeit indirectly - would need to follow criteria other than the abstraction, reduction, objectification, and aesthetization of the purist, rational forms of modernity. A receptivity to emotional, irrational, sentimental, and romantic elements would permit its adaptation to continually new contexts and situations.?
