Pina Fiori, born in Marsciano, Italy, has always been captivated by vibrant colors, geometric patterns, and abstract figures. From a young age, she expressed her passion for art through paintings, drawings, collages, and sculptures. Her diverse career includes roles as a theatrical costume designer, makeup artist, and owner of an art shop. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata, she now teaches Art at the Artistic High School in her hometown. Throughout her career, Pina has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, with her works featured in both national and international museums and private galleries. Her collages, crafted from newspaper and magazine clippings, along with materials like fabrics, threads, metal, gold, silver, copper, zinc, wood, and stones, reflect her innermost emotions and memories. These pieces embody a blend of inharmonious elements that showcase fantasy and creativity, akin to ancient narratives set against a modern backdrop. One notable work, “A house on the water” (2017), illustrates the shifting values of today, contrasting with the rigidity of the past. In this dynamic landscape, foundations are fluid, allowing for rapid change and adaptation.
