This book is an extended version of "London With A Smile" (2012), aimed at foreigners with a good command of English. In conversations with politically open-minded Londoners today, Brexit inevitably arises. It has divided the UK into Leavers and Remainers, with the June 23, 2016, Referendum highlighting London's cosmopolitan nature. While 60% of Londoners voted to remain in the EU, a majority of 52% nationwide favored leaving. Despite this division, some remain hopeful for a reversal of Brexit. Regardless of its EU status, London remains a captivating city, known for its financial, cultural, and architectural significance, as well as its rich royal traditions. However, not everything is perfect; the corruption among some members of Parliament and the narrow-mindedness of certain hard-core Eurosceptics provide ample material for satire. The author, Dr. Eckehard Korthals, has previously published five jokebooks (2008-2016) and several serious works on German, Scottish, and English culture and history, including titles on Rob Roy, Wilhelm II, Scotch Whisky, a cultural-historical guide to Scotland, and the Windsors.
