Exploring the particle nature of dark matter, this work addresses the implications of a newly identified symmetry that emerges when dark matter particles are significantly heavier than known elementary particles. It proposes a universal interaction between dark matter and ordinary matter, aiding in the prediction of event rates in detection experiments. The thesis establishes benchmarks for heavy wino and higgsino dark matter and introduces a new formalism for Lorentz invariance in nonrelativistic theories, challenging long-held assumptions in heavy quark literature. Its findings significantly influence dark matter phenomenology and precision hadronic physics.
