This standard work of fire brigade training explains the whole of basic firefighting training for professional fire brigades, plant fire crews and volunteer fire brigades, based on the catalogues of learning objectives for training middle-level fire brigade technical services and on Fire Brigade Service Regulation 2, 'Training of Voluntary Fire Brigades'. The content corresponds to current expert opinion. Special importance is also given to practical matters: learning is made easier through twelve clearly structured main chapters and more than 85 subchapters, pre-set learning steps, numerous memorization and information boxes, and rich illustrations with specially produced graphics.
