Jeremy Krauss, a student of Moshé Feldenkrais, taught and practiced the Feldenkrais Method, particularly focusing on children with special needs. He developed the Jeremy Krauss Approach (JKA), an interprofessional method that supports experiential learning, development, and personal growth in various developmental delays. This approach has proven effective for children facing neurological, musculoskeletal, psychological, or socioemotional challenges. Through numerous case studies and illustrative photo sequences, the author shares his insights, connecting them to topics such as motor learning, neuroplasticity, embodiment, and humanistic or developmental psychology. The JKA is grounded in careful observation and understanding of developmentally relevant movement patterns and potential barriers. It emphasizes the dynamic aspects of transitional movements and positions, highlighting individual developmental steps. The goal is to recognize each child's unique abilities and possibilities rather than solely focusing on limitations or deficits, thereby fostering individualized support.
