Based on data collected from: the Social Change and Economic Life Initiative Work Attitudes/Work Histories Survey (1986), the Research Surveys of Great Britain (1987), the General Household Survey (1983, 1984), the MAS Business Line Survey (1988) and the Labour Force Survey.
