This monograph is intended to explore the scientific development of sport pedagogy as it has occured in Germany and North America. This monograph is intended to serve not just to Germans and Americans, but to all who are to those interested in scholary field of sport pedagogy - a glimpse into the multiple dimensions, perspectives, and traditions spurring the rapid growth of this field. The reader will be introduced to multiple perspectives and traditions that have been and currently are shaping and defining the field of sport pedagogy.
