This anthology includes several important and influential short stories of leading Indigenous and non-Indigenous wirters from Australia and New Zealand and introduces the reader to the diversity and richness of two of the most exciting and rapidly extending Commonwealth Literatures. They reflect dramatically both the common and the disparate histories, cultures and politics of both countries, their colonial and post-colonial status and their unique ethnic compositions together with the moral issues involved in developing social relations. The collection is completed by a detailed introduction, notes on language and cultural background together with appropriate questions and tasks to faciliate studies.
