Large Eddy Simulation of Particle-Laden Flow

Focusing on Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of particle-laden flows, this thesis provides a comprehensive analysis of small-scale turbulence effects on suspended particles. It quantifies these effects in homogeneous isotropic turbulence and evaluates three existing models, including the Approximate Deconvolution Method (ADM) and two stochastic models. A key innovation is the introduction of a new, computationally efficient model that utilizes a specific interpolation method, demonstrating improved accuracy over previous models in tested scenarios.
