Abraham Stoker, an Irish author renowned for his Gothic horror novel Dracula, was also a prominent figure in theater as the personal assistant to actor Sir Henry Irving and manager of the Lyceum Theatre. He earned a BA in 1870 and pursued an MA, although he mistakenly claimed to have graduated with honors in mathematics. Stoker was actively involved in university societies, serving as auditor of the College Historical Society and president of the University Philosophical Society, where he explored themes like Sensationalism in Fiction and Society.
