A study on an evolving field, which is currently at the heart of social science discourse The contemporary debate on landscape is no longer expressed through the exclusie idiolect of a social class. We are instead confronted with a relentless landscape chatter, which invades every domain of daily life. Human sciences have participated in this tendency as well, feeding the landscape-discourse with an impressive amount of articles, collective works and debates on the subject. Once marginal, landscape has become central, if not essential, to easthetics and geography, while strengthening its position within sociological, anthropological and archaeological theories.
