In this new, detailed history of anarchism in Spain in the decades leading up to the civil war, Jason Garner investigates what most books on the subject simply assume: the conflicting forces, goals, and strategies that combined to create what is still the largest and most famous anarchist movement to date. Garner draws from both Spanish and international primary sources to describe and analyse the internal dynamics of the Spanish movement.
