A nostalgic look at this beautiful Island realm off the west coast of Scotland during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Family photographs and picture postcards tell of a hard life but reveal a stalwart and close knit community. The pictures tell of the deadly storms at sea which claimed the lives of families who fished to earn a living and storms on land in the shape of bitter clan disputes whose effects lingered long after the fighting was done.
