E.M. Bounds, an influential American author and clergyman, is renowned for his writings on prayer, having penned eleven books, with nine dedicated to the subject. Although only two of his works were published during his lifetime, his legacy continued posthumously through the efforts of Rev. Claudius Lysias Chilton, Jr., who preserved his manuscripts for publication. By 1921, Rev. Homer W. Hodge further contributed to the editorial work, ensuring Bounds' insights on prayer reached a wider audience.
