From European Identity to a Social Europe?

This book explores European identity across 23 countries using Eurobarometer 62 (2004). It critiques existing research on the normative role of identity, applying Social Identity Theory. Findings reveal limited normative attachment to Europe, raising concerns about the identity's capacity to support European integration.
