This work explores the relationship between design elements and mental states, proposing a sign system defined by sets of images that evoke similar associations. It outlines steps for creating this system, including defining signs, their meanings, and relationships. A software tool has been developed to demonstrate its effectiveness in exploring a corpus of 3,500 visual artworks.
