After two years in New York, I returned home to write about the battle of Sigüenza, the first significant battle of the Civil War. The Bishopric's involvement led to the destruction of part of the cathedral to force a surrender. A tragic story of a militia woman named "Chata," who was gravely wounded, deeply affected me.
