Analyzing time series data from 1992 to 2011, this study explores the influence of foreign portfolio flows on India's macroeconomic variables, particularly economic growth. It highlights the trends, structure, and composition of foreign portfolio investment, which has significantly impacted the capital market and overall economic development. The findings suggest that foreign portfolio investment enhances the Indian stock market, posing challenges for policymakers in macroeconomic management while contributing positively to economic growth.
