Focusing on the Tihamah plain, this publication offers the first long-term culture-history analysis of the region, examining its socio-economic, cultural, and political developments in relation to South West Arabia and the Horn of Africa. It synthesizes archaeological findings, including the author's field research, and historical sources such as pre-Islamic inscriptions and Graeco-Roman texts. By identifying patterns and changes over time, the study highlights the Tihamah's significance in broader cultural and economic contexts, enriching the understanding of pre-Islamic history in the area.
