When aligned with evolutionary systems, prosocial behaviors flourish, while deviations lead to self-centered values and behaviors like tribalism. The author argues that many modern individuals show impaired moral capacities compared to those from hunter-gatherer societies, advocating for strategies to enhance moral development throughout life.
