Focusing on the impact of family background on secondary school students' academic performance, this 2017 case study was conducted in Kabale district. It utilized both random and purposive sampling to gather a diverse group of respondents. Data collection involved primary methods such as observations, interviews, and questionnaires, alongside secondary data from educational department records. The study aims to provide insights into how familial influences shape educational outcomes in this specific context.
