The Yazidi faith, originating over 4,000 years ago in Mesopotamia, is a unique blend of Zoroastrianism, Islam, and Christianity, with a distinctive focus on the worship of seven angels, particularly Melek Taus, the Peacock angel. The Yazidi community has faced severe persecution, including massacres and abductions, particularly under Saddam Hussein and ISIS, leading to widespread displacement. With a significant diaspora, especially in Germany, the Yazidis continue to seek understanding and support from the global community amidst their struggles for survival and recognition.
