Focusing on the knowledge and practices of menstrual hygiene among high school girls in Oforikrom, Kumasi, this study highlights the critical yet often overlooked issue of menstrual hygiene. It emphasizes the importance of using sanitary pads and maintaining genital cleanliness to prevent health complications. The research identifies the risks associated with poor menstrual hygiene, including increased vulnerability to reproductive tract infections and pelvic inflammatory diseases, underscoring the need for greater awareness and education on this topic.
