The study focuses on the drying process of catalyst ink drops in room air, essential for fabricating catalyst layers in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Through real-time observations using optical microscopy and detailed analysis with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the research reveals insights into the complex drying dynamics. This foundational work aims to enhance understanding of catalyst layer microstructure and improve catalyst utilization in future studies.
