The study focuses on palynomorphs extracted from the Adigrat Sandstone in Ethiopia's southeastern Ogaden region, revealing a rich assemblage dominated by Classopollis pollen. Key accessory elements include various spore and pollen types, which correlate with Australia's Corollina torosa Zone, suggesting a Hettangian or Sinemurian age for the deposits. The findings indicate that the Adigrat Sandstone formed under hot, dry conditions, with limited marine influence evidenced by the presence of acritarchs.
