Microbal Degradation of Tauropine. An investigation

The focus of this research is on the tauropine dehydrogenase enzyme and its critical role in the microbial tauropine degradation pathway. The study explores three main questions: the enzyme's action in microorganisms, its molecular weight and cellular localization, and the downstream degradation pathway. Investigations were conducted using four model organisms, including a freshwater Ralstonia strain and three isolated terrestrial bacterial strains, to provide a comprehensive understanding of tauropine metabolism.
