Focusing on the Muhammad cartoon crisis of 2005-2006, this book analyzes the unexpected rise in hostilities toward Muslims in Denmark. Utilizing media anthropology, cultural studies, and communication studies, it compiles over thirteen years of research on three key media events. The work highlights the significant shifts and divisions within Danish society, revealing how the politicization of news journalism affects the political representation and daily experiences of ethnic minorities in Denmark.
