Focusing on the interplay between land and nationalism, this study explores South African and Zimbabwean fiction from the 1960s onwards through various critical lenses, including cultural materialism, feminism, and ecocriticism. It examines significant works by notable authors such as Coetzee, Gordimer, Head, Hove, and Vera, analyzing how these narratives reflect and shape national identities and environmental concerns in the context of their respective societies.
