Exploring the concept of morbid tourism, this work examines its emergence as a byproduct of modern travel trends, highlighting various forms such as dark, disaster, and sex tourism. The author provides definitions and analyzes the implications of these practices on traditional tourism, arguing that they detract from the restorative and cultural benefits of travel. This research aims to raise awareness of morbid tourism's impact and advocates for a shift towards more positive forms of tourism that enhance well-being and cultural engagement for travelers.
