Focusing on the regulation of ride-sharing platforms, this master's thesis presents a framework aimed at guiding policymakers in countries like Germany, where these services are currently prohibited. It contrasts traditional taxi services with emerging sharing economy models, utilizing a questionnaire to assess the pros and cons of ride-sharing. The findings, combined with existing literature, inform the development of innovative regulatory strategies tailored to the unique challenges posed by ride-sharing platforms.
