The study focuses on the structural integrity of corner joints formed by two flexural members at a 90-degree angle, highlighting the common issue of tensile strength failure in concrete. It identifies the formation of splitting tensile cracks at re-entrant corners, which compromise stability. While previous experimental research has explored the use of fibers in these joints, this investigation aims to fill a gap by validating those results analytically through finite element modeling, comparing fibrous and non-fibrous concrete under opening moments.
