Focusing on the marginalized Hijra community in Bangladesh, this study explores their experiences of discrimination and social exclusion. It highlights the severe lack of education and awareness of human rights, which exacerbates their vulnerability. Through a combination of surveys, observations, focus group discussions, and case studies, the author delves into the unique ways Hijras define themselves amidst societal neglect in areas such as shelter, work, and education. The research provides a comprehensive view of their daily struggles and social dynamics in Khulna City.
