Simulation and Characterization of a Moroccan Hydrocarbon Reservoir

Focusing on the simulation and prediction of oil-bearing reservoirs, this book provides a detailed methodology for setting up such simulations. It is based on an outcrop of siliciclastic and carbonate layers in a synclinal structure near Ait Ourir, Morocco. The area was meticulously mapped during a field trip and transformed into CAD surfaces for meshing. This mesh served as the foundation for the CSMP++ simulator, enabling the analysis of sweep and well scenarios, alongside implementing a Monte Carlo Simulation for estimating stock tank oil initially in place (STOIIP).
