It introduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) financial tool to analyze seven key cost components, including hardware and software acquisition, maintenance, and technical support. By highlighting often-overlooked expenses, the research offers valuable guidelines for managers in higher education to effectively control and budget for these costs, ensuring better resource allocation and project sustainability.
