Exploring Second Language Acquisition (SLA), this seminar paper examines two influential linguistic theories: the Behaviorist Learning Theory, which emphasizes habit formation, and Krashen's Monitor Model from the mentalist paradigm. The paper discusses the evolution of these theories from the 1950s to the 1970s and evaluates their applicability in the English language classroom.
