Focusing on the intersection of witchcraft accusations and labor conflicts, this academic work examines contemporary issues in the tea plantation region of Jalpaiguri, India. It explores how accusations against the adivasi (tribal) community are linked to economic tensions within tea plantations and domestic disputes at the village level. Utilizing sociological theory and primary data, this study is essential for scholars in sociology, gender studies, labor history, criminology, anthropology, migration, and South Asian studies.
