Generosity is redefined as an openness to others, essential for existence and social formation, rather than merely a character trait in an exchange economy. The author explores generosity within the realms of ontology and politics, emphasizing its role in fostering diverse social relations. Drawing on the philosophies of Nietzsche, Merleau-Ponty, and Levinas, alongside feminist critiques from Beauvoir and Butler, this work presents a nuanced, politically aware understanding of generosity as intercorporeal relations where the self is shared with others.
