Brunette and Wills critique the neglect of Derrida in film studies, offering insights into his concepts of "Writing" and their relevance to film analysis. They provide a detailed critique of contemporary assumptions, analyze Truffaut's and Lynch's films through a radical reading lens, and redefine cinema in relation to Derrida's overlooked work, The Post Card, emphasizing a new technological perspective.
