Focusing on a network of diamond merchants in the early eighteenth century, this study explores cross-cultural trade through the experiences of various outsider traders. It highlights the roles of an English Catholic in Antwerp, Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews in London and Amsterdam, and French Huguenots in Lisbon, revealing how their diverse backgrounds influenced their trading practices and interactions within the European market.
