The thesis explores a novel wearable reflectance photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor system designed for heart rate measurement in both stationary and dynamic conditions. Emphasizing miniaturization and low power consumption, the device operates on a single PCB with a power draw of approximately 7.5mW. It integrates sensitive electronic circuits and advanced signal processing techniques to enhance robustness against noise and artifacts. Benchmark tests demonstrate its effectiveness, matching the performance of standard heart rate monitors even during movement.
